Celebrating our 30th Year as the Helping Hands of Glendale, AZ
The Glendale Ambassadors are an organization of residents with a deep sense of pride in their community, and a mission to enhance the economic, social, and cultural vitality of Glendale. The Ambassadors have been in existence since 1994. They were founded by former Glendale Mayor, Elaine Scruggs, whose vision was to create an all-volunteer citizens group to help bring awareness to the City of Glendale.
Our Mission
The Glendale Ambassadors are an organization of citizens with a deep sense of pride in their community dedicated to enhancing the economic, social and cultural vitality of Glendale. Ambassador members participate in numerous activities throughout the year including the Glendale Adopt-a-Street Program, monthly membership meetings, tours of historic sites and attractions throughout Glendale, and local community and nonprofit organization partnerships.
Glendale Ambassadors have Given Back $353,000 to the Glendale Community
Through the years, the organization was the primary volunteer group for the beverage booths at Glendale’s treasured festivals. Funds raised through their booth volunteerism have benefited many organizations throughout Arizona. The Ambassadors have donated more than $353,000 to enhance youth sports, senior services, local theater, fire and police community services, parks and recreation activities, Glendale Summer Band and much more.
